QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in bookkeeping or accounting, financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting and statutory requirements for the operation of school districts.
  • At least three (3) years experience in an accounting related field and /or school finance.
  • Proficiency in the use of a computer system and software appropriate for accounting, word processing, database, spreadsheet, and accounts payable.

POSITION:  Child Study Team Secretary (Posted on 4/13/2017)
12 - month position, effective 7/1/2017.  Candidate must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational skills.  Interpersonal skills must include the ability to be compassionate, sensitive, and keep confidentiality for students, staff, and parents.  Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through electronic/written communication.
 
Additional responsibilities for the position are:
  • The completion of the School District's ASSA Report each Fall (determines funding for the district) and other State Special Education Reports. Must be able to operate all business related technology to complete reports and clerical work required for the office such as Microsoft Word, Access and Excel, Systems 3000, OnCourse, NJ Smart, IEP Direct.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn transcribing to complete Child Study Team evaluations and reports. Compose and type correspondences, notices and reports as needed and determined by the Child Study Team Director.
  • Maintain accurate student records.
  • Scheduling all meetings and Annual Review Conferences as well as evaluation schedules. Arranges meetings, prepares agendas, and handles logistics as necessary
  • All details of office management, taking precise messages for Child Study Team members, ordering, filing, etc.
  • Assist the Director of Child Study Team with needs as they emerge.
  • Performs other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
  • Child Study Team experience preferred.

Edgewater Park is hiring substitute teachers.    All substitute teachers need a NJ teacher certificate or  Substitute certificate. 

If you do not hold  NJ State Certification, we will assist you in applying for County Certification (fee - $125 and official transcripts proving 60 college credits). 

Everyone who works in the school system needs to be fingerprinted which will cost $65.45 plus an $11 administrative processing fee to the State of New Jersey.  Substitute salary is $90/per diem.   YOU MUST COME IN TO THE SUPERINTENDENT'S OFFICE TO APPLY.
